17 Pdr. AT Gun & 155 mm Howitzer

  • 06-06-2025

For collectors of historic artillery, few pieces capture the power and engineering of WWII like these two exceptional examples, each offered as a separate lot, but united by their wartime legacy.

The Ordnance QF 17-pounder stands as one of the most effective Allied anti-tank guns of the war. Famously capable of penetrating the armor of German Tigers, it was adopted by the Australian Army and deployed in both static and mobile roles in the Pacific. This Australian example has been fully restored and remains in excellent condition.

The M1A1 105mm Howitzer represents the backbone of American field artillery during the conflict. This nearly 6-ton piece is in good operational condition, featuring smooth elevation and traverse mechanisms, a fully functional breech, and is supplied with its original gun cover and accessories. Whether displayed in a museum setting or used for historic reenactments, it offers both authenticity and presence.

Two different stories, one shared purpose: preserving the legacy of WWII artillery through hands-on heritage.
